What’s happening today:

Continue to message against Betsy DeVos: She has submitted her ethics paperwork, and her conformation vote has been delayed.  Messages to Lamar Alexander letting him know that the public wants her senate committee hearing extended in public would be of utmost importance today.  Her record in providing high quality education is dismal: Michigan charters performed lower than other like schools, and the state as a whole declined in this period when using nationally gathered data.  This is not acceptable.  She seems poised.  Her practices are ruinous for children.  Read more in the Washington Post

Steven Mnuchin (muh-NOO-chin) is one of Trump’s most vulnerable Cabinet picks—and senators on both sides of the aisle know it. Today’s Daily Action is to urge yours to come out strongly against Steven Mnuchin for Treasury Secretary. (More on Daily Action Facebook site )

2. ENGAGE LOCALLY  Find what you care about the most, research the organizations already working on them, and join up in their efforts! If you are NY local, this site is a great tool for channeling your skills and interests into helping the right organization.
